The newest version of our favorite jogger, the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 is specifically designed to cater for active parents. Like other high-end jogging strollers today, it has a heap of features, but this jogger outperforms most of the other models in the market.
The coolest features on this stroller make it so easy and exciting – from a tracking adjustment system, suspension, and adjustable handlebar which makes pushing easier than ever before plus more storage options in comparison to older models.
This model can be hard work if you’re not into lifting weights but passengers will love how cushy it feels inside thanks to its padded seat along with the large canopy providing shade protection as well as side pockets making sure mom has some space she needs too!
Our other gripe is the lack of tray and cup holders. Although this is a wonderful Jogging Stroller overall we would have liked these to be included in the price.
In the next sections of this review article, we will be discussing the main advantages and disadvantages of this excellent baby jogging stroller.
It is currently available on Amazon for around $550.
Who Can Use the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Jogging Stroller?
In this section, we’ll be discussing who can actually use this jogger. Will it be awkward or uncomfortable for a 6-footer to push? Up to what age can your toddler use this jogging stroller? It doesn’t make sense if you purchased a stroller with nifty features and design when nobody can actually use it.
Compared to most products we have recommended on Storkified, the BOB Revolution Flex is among the few that can accommodate a child weighing up to 75 pounds. An improvement compared to the older version, which only has a weight capacity of up to 70 pounds.
This means that this jogger can support your 5-year old toddler who is bigger than most average children. In fact, the average weight of children who are 7 years of age is between 46 to 57 pounds only, according to Baby Center.
Revolution Flex from BOB is also able to accommodate babies under 8 weeks old provided you use a car seat. However, you will have to purchase a separate adapter to connect the car seat. The good news is that you can purchase an adapter that suits your car seat, even if it’s from a different brand like Graco or Chicco.
BOB Revolution is one of our recommended joggers that can accommodate different heights, another feature not commonly found in most brands. It has a height of 34.5 to 48 inches, depending on your adjustments, when measured from the ground.
The handlebar can be adjusted into 9 different positions. If your height is around 5’, you should be able to easily use this jogger. This is also true if you’re as tall as 6’3”.
BOB Revolution Flex model also has a one-hand recline operation and has a foot brake that can be easily put on or released. If you want to have an actual handbrake for better control in decelerating your speed, you can go for the Revolution Pro version. The Pro version is indeed pricier but it is perfect if you’re running hilly terrains like San Francisco.
This stroller can be pushed and moved around with great ease, whether you’re actually jogging or just walking. From sidewalks to the malls, to cobbled stone pavements, and even sandy beaches, you can definitely use this knowing that your baby is experiencing a smooth ride as well.
How Comfy Is The Ride?
It’s time to hone down on how comfy the ride is for your child. There’s no sense in bringing your baby with you if she or he ends up being uncomfortable. You’ll actually end up tending to your little one more than running or jogging.
Revolution Flex has tires that are inflatable and made of rubber. While they may look like bicycle tires, they’re specifically designed to handle different types of terrain. These tires alone make the ride smoother compared to the hard plastic tires you normally find in regular strollers.
The comfort of your baby doesn’t stop there. It also has an adjustable suspension system which allows you to set it independently for tougher pavements. You can easily glide through pothole-ridden sidewalks and your little one will still enjoy the smooth ride.
The front wheel can also be locked so that you can jog or run without worrying about the stroller suddenly turning. When you’re strolling the mall, you just unlock the front wheel and allow it to swivel for great maneuverability.
BOB Revolution Flex jogger offers several reclining positions for your child, from an upright vertical position to an almost horizontal one.
Aside from the varying degrees of comfort it offers, having the feature to recline the small toddlers who want to have a nap during your long sessions outdoors
You can recline it far back to allow your child to take naps during your jogging sessions outdoors. You can also adjust the recliner so that it stays upright, allowing your curious toddler to enjoy observing the outdoors without straining his or her neck.
However, you cannot recline the seat to a fully horizontal position.
BOB also took into consideration making it easy for the parent to adjust the positions with just one hand. This is another upgrade you’ll only find in the model compared to the older versions.
The canopy for Revolution Flex is very large. It gets its job done by covering your child all the way to the ankles. If you have attached a car seat, the canopy can be adjusted to overlap it as well to protect your infant from direct sunlight.
The canopy also has a wide peeking window on top. This allows you to check on your toddler every now and then, without having to stop and move to the front. You can do it while pushing this jogger.
The canopy’s fabric has a UPF 50+ rating. A UPF is a standard way of measuring how effective any fabric is with regards to providing UV protection. With a 50+ rating, this means that it can block out more than 98% of UV rays.
What Are The Additional Features and Designs?
In this section, we are going to highlight the other features and designs that the model of BOB Revolution Flex has. These are important factors to consider as well because they actual add up to the overall experience that you and your baby are going to have.
Parent & Baby Tray
A certainly unique feature with BOB Revolution Flex is the absence of both the parent tray and child tray upon purchase. You will have to buy this separately if you want to have this installed.
Having no child tray may be convenient for both getting your baby in and out of the stroller easily, but having no parent tray can be quite a bummer especially if you’re used to having a water console to place your water bottle or energy drink.
To compensate for this, every BOB Revolution Flex jogger has a pouch on both sides of the seat to store your toddler’s toys. There is also a large pouch behind the seat for your keys, snacks, phone, and wallet.
The storage basket underneath the seat is large. In fact, it has been made bigger compared to previous models. It is around 15% larger and can easily accommodate even a large diaper bag and more.
The basket has a hard bottom as well. This feature helps to prevent the basket from hanging low due to heavy load. This prevents the bottom of the storage, and the contents, from getting damaged touching the pavement.
If you’re a clean freak like me, it’s important to know right now that you can’t take out all the fabrics for washing. You can do this with the older models, but BOB Revolution Flex model has all their screws changed. However, the fabric is so easy to clean that you wiping it is mostly enough.
How Bulky Is This Jogging Stroller?
Another important buying factor that you need to consider is the size of the jogging stroller when folded. Is it easy to fold? Is it easy to transport? These questions and more are what we’ll try to answer in this section.
Folding and Unfolding
For a jogging stroller this big, it is surprisingly easy to fold it. It involves a two-step process initiated by disengaging the trigger lock on the handle bar and pushing the seat forward. The entire jogger collapses entirely by pulling the handle underneath the seat.
You can then manually lock the jogger to keep it folded in place. This fold lock feature is not commonly present in other jogging strollers.
Below is the dimension of the unit with the wheels still intact and with the wheels removed.
Folded with Wheels: 43 inches (Length), 16 inches (Width)
Folded With No Wheels: 36 (inches), 10 inches (Width)
Storing and Transport
Revolution Flex weighs 28.5 pounds alone. The dimension and the weight may prove quite a challenge to petite moms, but it gets better once you remove the back wheels. Fortunately, this is very easy to do and does not require any additional tools.
Maneuvering the aisles of small shops may be hard so it is not really advisable to bring this with you while shopping. You’ll also need to consider the space you will need to place your grocery bags as the jogger alone may occupy the entire trunk of a sedan like Honda Accord.
Although this jogging stroller is heavier than most of the other models, it is not heavy for nothing. Its solid frame is what makes it heavy, so you can be sure that it’s durable and will last for a long time, even up to your next child.
The heavy frame also helps to add more control while pushing the jogging stroller, allowing it to be easily pushed across uneven terrains. This jogger cannot be easily tipped over.
If you can lift the weight of the jogger alone to place or remove in your car’s trunk, then the bulkiness shouldn’t be much of a deal breaker. Especially if you consider the benefits you get. Think of it as part of your fitness routine.
With more than 200 customer reviews, the BOB Revolution Flex version received a very high rating from buyers on Amazon. This does not even include those who did not write a review in the first place.
Consumers love how versatile this jogger is, especially how it can seemingly glide across every terrain they can jog or run through. Most of them also love how the seat can be positioned in a fully upright position, which is something that most joggers don’t normally allow.
Perhaps the most common gripe that consumers have with this jogging stroller is the tires. Most of them had a bad impression when they immediately used the jogger upon delivery. This is because the tires are not fully-inflated yet. The best solution is to actually check the air in the tires before going for a test drive.
We encourage you to check the rest of the customer reviews on Amazon. The different viewpoints can certainly help you further in your buying decision.

Some of us are more visual than others, so here’s a video highlighting what the BOB Revolution Flex jogging stroller can do for you:
If you’re looking for a premium jogger with premium functionality, then you can’t go wrong with BOB Revolution Flex. Even if you have the older model, it is worth checking this new version as it has some great noticeable improvements installed.
The tires, the additional suspension, and the heavy solid frame all add up to the comfortable ride for your child and the ease of pushing and maneuvering for you.
The lack of water console and child tray upon purchase can be very discouraging to some. But to most consumers, the amazing feeling of being able to easily push the jogger through gravel or sand plus the smooth ride it gives to their tiny tot is more than enough to shrug off this setback.
